Planned Giving And In-Kind Donations
In addition to charitable donations, KIND also relies on planned gifts and in-kind donations such as dental supplies to continue serving Colorado’s children in need.
Planned Giving
Planned giving ensures that you and KIND can maximize the benefits of your charitable donations. A planned gift often enables you to make a donation initially thought to be beyond your means. And, depending on your individual circumstances, gift planning may also involve state and federal tax advantages.
While helping some of Colorado’s most vulnerable children, planned giving enables you to receive numerous benefits. Your benefits might include:
- Increasing your personal income through certain charitable instruments, particularly when money markets and CD rates are depressed.
- Reducing or eliminating income tax and capital gains, especially related to appreciated stocks and real estate.
- Reducing estate taxes.
- Possibly avoiding income and estate taxes by donating retirement plan assets.
- Supporting KIND’s mission of providing high-quality, affordable dental care to children in need in our communities.

In-Kind Donations
Through our in-kind gift program, KIND welcomes donations of surplus goods from both individuals and corporations. We use in-kind donations such as dental supplies, dental equipment or office equipment in our facilities and administrative office to continue our mission of providing dental care to Colorado’s children in need.
In addition to helping us provide dental care for Colorado children, in-kind donors may receive a tax deduction for donating equipment and other assets. KIND encourages donors to consult a tax professional for more information.
