Kids In Need of Dentistry Receives $30,000 Through Denver Post Season to Share
Kids In Need of Dentistry received $30,000 through Denver Post Season to Share, a McCormick Foundation Fund, to support their programs during a reception held on Monday, April 26.

A record breaking $2,532,000 was distributed to 74 Denver area non profit agencies through this years Season To Share campaign. Since 1992 , this program has raised charitable donations that are matched and disbursed to local nonprofit organizations serving low-income children as well as those who are homeless, hungry or in need of medical care. Funds are raised through reader, community and corporate donations, and each dollar donated is matched at 50 cents by the McCormick Foundation. The Denver Post and the McCormick Foundation pay all administrative and promotional costs, allowing 100 percent of donations, plus the match, to go directly to charitable organizations. In total over the past 18 years, more than $26 million has been distributed through Season To Share.

KIDS in Need of Dentistry partners with the Colorado Orthodontic Foundation
KIDS in Need of Dentistry and the Colorado Orthodontic Foundation, a newly formed 501 (C) (3), have joined together to provide dental care and orthodontic care to children in need throughout Colorado. Kids in Need of Dentistry (KIND) and Dr. Joseph Dankey began an orthodontic program 17 years ago at the KIND clinic in Commerce City. Over the years, KIND has been very fortunate to have other orthodontists volunteer to provide treatment for KIND patients. With the new collaboration, more children will get the opportunity to receive orthodontic care in the KIND clinics, as well as Colorado Orthodontic Foundation (COF) orthodontic clinics.
COF was formed by a group of orthodontists and business leaders living in Colorado. Their mission is to provide affordable orthodontic treatment and education to as many financially challenged children and families as possible.
Both organizations are very excited about this collaboration, in hopes that they will be able to provide dental care and orthodontic care to more children in order to promote better oral health, beautiful smiles and the confidence to become the next leaders in our communities.
